Good Life Challenge Community Opportunity
Dear Parents and Community Members,
Our administrators, teachers and staff are participating in a healthy food challenge in January, and we would like you to join us. This 10-day whole food plant-based challenge has been an annual challenge for the district for the past 8 years. Led by me, retired Victor teacher Doug Schmidt and my wife Shari. Over the past 8 years we have helped over 12,000 people through the challenge and over 80 businesses and school districts in the area.
In a recent study in the British Medical Journal stated: participants who reported following ‘plant-based diets’ had lower odds of moderate-to-severe COVID-19 severity, compared with participants who did not follow these diets. A whole food plant based way of eating has been shown to improve your immune system and helps most chronic diseases such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, autoimmune diseases and even helps the body fight some forms of cancer.
The staff in Victor have had great results. One staff member got off of his type2 diabetes medications. Another who participated for all the years we have been doing it lost 105 pounds!
Common results after 10 days are:
» Lowered total cholesterol up to 50 points
» Lowered Blood pressure
» Lower Glucose numbers
» Weight loss
» Increased energy
» Better sleep
» Reduction in prescription medications
This is a free health initiative for you and your family as well as relatives and extended family.
